Primal Waters is the title of the third novel in Steve Alten’s MEG series. The series is a science fiction horror series, revolving around ancient sharks such as the Megalodon.
The story takes place 18 years after the events of the first book (MEG: A Novel of Deep Terror).
The main character Jonas Taylor returns, now struggling with his personal and financial life.
He is drawn into a reality TV show about underwater exploration.
However, this event quickly turns into a nightmare when they are confronted by giant Megalodons.
